DESCRIPTION:If you weren’t able to attend our Volunteer Speed Matching Event in January\, don’t worry! Any of the groups listed on the left would love the chance to tell you about their organization. Just click on the name and find something you care about. \n  \nFinding dues paying members is more difficult than it used to be and the goal of CLUB RUSH is to help connect people to causes they care about. \nIF YOU HAVE MEMBERS … We learned last time that potential members need more than 3 minutes to learn about your service club. Just like a fraternal rush\, CLUB RUSH will allow people a chance to learn about your organization\, what you do\, who you serve and when you have meetings. If it’s a fit\, they then move along your traditional path to membership. Each organization will have a presentation table. \nThe Tustin Community Foundation and the Chamber of Commerce would like to invite your organization to participate in our VOLUNTEER SPEED MATCHING event on ________________ .With today’s pace of life\, Speed Dating provides a safe\, time effective & fun way for people to have 20 first dates in one evening and currently boasts a 50% success rate in bringing people together.  Finding your ideal volunteer has many similarities to finding your ideal partner. \nWe know that finding reliable volunteers gets harder every year and our hope is that VOLUNTEER SPEED MATCHING will put some fun into your volunteer recruitment.

DESCRIPTION:The afternoon will include generous pourings and tastes\, live entertainment\, a Silent Auction where you can bid on a wide array of gifts donated by area merchants\, Foundation members and friends and a Wine Store where you can stock up on wine for the holidays! Truly\, this will be a fun  afternoon to remember! \nUnderwritten by local individuals and businesses\, this year’s event looks to be spectacular!  All of the funds rasied at the d’Vine Wine Affair will be funneled back into the community through the Foundation’s many programs including the funding of 2016 Community Grants\, Partners in Parks\, LIVEgreen Tustin\, Volunteer  in Tustin snd Done-in-a-Day  Service & Item Collection Projects.

SUMMARY:2016 Chef's Gourmet
DESCRIPTION:All amateur and professsional chefs are invited to join us at the Tustin Community Foundation’s 1st Annual Chef’s Gourmet Cooking Contest at the d’Vine Wine Affair and show off your culinary skills for a great cause! \nThe Tustin Community Foundation directs charitable funds to the real\, immediate and ever-changing needs of greater Tustin\, primarily though the awarding of annual community grants to Tustin area nonprofit organizations and schools. Your participation in the Chef’s Gourmet will help generate the financial support necessary for the Foundation to award grants this November. \nAnyone is invited to participate in this event … professional chefs\, amateur cooks\, bakers and grill masters!  To ensure that each dish is judged fairly\, a method of “blind tastings” will be used by our panel of judges. For those of you with a competitive edge\, cash prizes will be awarded! Professional and amateur chefs will be judged separately.  Admission to the d’Vine Wine Affair for the participating chef and one guest is complimentary. In addition\, trophies will be awarded in each culinary category. \nProfessional Chef          Amateur Chef                  Peoples Choice\n First Prize       $150          First Prize       $150          First Prize    $125\n Second Prize  $100          Second Prize  $100\n                                          Third Prize      $ 75\n\n\n\n\n\nProfessional Chefs can use this event to advertise their business to the hundreds of guests attending the d’Vine Wine Affair!  Amateur Chefs will definitely get bragging rights around town\, too!\n \n\nCulinary Categories\n\n\nAppetizers\nSides (Vegetables\, Salads\, Breads)\nEntrees (Soups\, Pasta Dishes\, BBQ\, Chili/Stew\, Main Dishes) \nDesserts    \n\n\nInstructions for Participating Chefs\n\n\nAll food should be prepared and ready to serve upon arrival at the event.\nTCF will provide a table cloth covered 8 foot table for you to share with another chef.\nTCF will provide a volunteer to help you serve\, if desired.\nEach dish should serve 75-100 guest “tastes” – 4 oz serving cups will be provided.\nHot foods should be kept warm (please bring an extension cord if heating is required). \nPlease let us know if you need chafing dishes.\nPlease bring your own serving utensils (spoon\, spatula\, knife\, etc).\nPlease bring ice or an ice chest for cold dishes as refrigeration is not available.\nPlease inform us in advance of any special set-up needs (electrical outlet\, etc).\nYou must arrive no later than 2:30pm to receive instructions and set up pre-judging.\nPanel judging will take place at 3:15.  People’s Choice Judging will take place until 5:30pm.
